A NON-POEM

I'm not a poet and I know it.

I don't long to stare at your nose

Or compare you to a rose.

I'm not a poet and you know it.

You don't crave my "meaningful" words

Or think I'm talking 'bout birds.

I'm not a poet and we know it.

But it's fun to write a poem

And end it without a rhyme.

Please note: This non-poem begins and ends my new career. Next week I will attempt knife-throwing ;-)
